We had the opportunity to present two speeches at the Neotys PAC Santorini 2020 conference. One was about containerized environments and the throttling phenomenon, while the other was about the continuous performance optimization of Java applications.
Edoardo Varani (Consultant Performance Engineer at Akamas) argued that one of the phenomena that impact application performance in containerized environments is the so-called throttling. He explains what throttling is, when it’s happening, and the impact that it can have on end-users.
